The Director of Inventory Management position is an exciting opportunity to lead change in a fast growing company. The Director of Inventory Management facilitates, maintains and “owns” the S&OP process for the company. The Director works cross-functionally with the B2B Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams regarding operations and finance functions on all issues. The director will ensure KPIs are established, reviewed monthly and ultimately achieved. This individual also identifies opportunities for improvement in current processes and execution, takes steps to drive better performance, and ensures there is open communication. The selected individual will be a key player in improving the sales and operations planning, forecasting and inventory management processes at Monoprice. The ideal candidate is passionate, committed, and a proven problem solver who possesses a deep understanding of inventory management and wants to see the result of their work have a recognized, meaningful, and measurable benefit to the organization.
Responsibilities and Job Duties
Oversee and communicate the monthly calendar S&OP process and timelines to all stakeholders
Ensure Demand Forecast updates are provided monthly by sales/marketing stakeholders per calendar deadlines
Ensure Item Statuses are accurate by collaborating with marketing and operations stakeholders
Coordinate and lead the monthly reconciliation meeting. Ensure local leadership is engaged in key issues to be resolved.
Coordinate and lead the monthly executive meeting. Present KPI dashboard to review benefits with leadership team. Ensure consensus output is relayed to ops team.
Facilitate cross-functional partnership meetings as needed to ensure all parties are aligned and all key issues and opportunities are addressed.
Analyze and identify opportunities to improve forecasting, purchasing, and allocation methods
Plan all inventory flows to support sales in all channels with balanced inventory levels
Identify and build key dashboards and metrics to monitor the performance of the inventory operations
To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate will work cross functionally with the sales, purchasing, sourcing, product & program management cross functional team facilitating & leading the Sales & Operations (S&OP) to optimize inventory flow and fulfillment developing clear communication of demand and purchase forecasting while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in our demand planning processes.
Minimum of ten years’ business experience preferred
• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience required
