Graphic Designer

SUMMARY

The candidate will need to coordinate, design and layout artwork for both online and offline collateral from start to finish. Ensures all projects meet required timelines, following and adhering to all procedures and guidelines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing graphics such as Box Packages, Catalogs and other graphic materials to assist Marketing, Product Management, Purchasing, and Technical Support Teams.
  • Work with Program Management and a cross functional team to fulfill requests for packaging artwork
  • Prepare art layout for employee business cards and specialty cards
  • Manipulates photographs and illustrations
  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts, and Monoprice branding guidelines
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type in alignment with Monoprice branding guidelines
  • Confer with Product Management, and Program Management to discuss and determine layout design
  • Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and internet websites
  • Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed
  • Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with project stakeholders or supervisors and making necessary changes
  • Use computer software to generate new images
  • Maintain archive of images, photos, and previous work products
  • Prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for production
  • Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer
  • Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services
  • Research new software or design concepts
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the teammate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Experience:

3+ years experience in Graphic Design.

Expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator a must

Proficiency with 3D modeling programs (AutoCAD, Maya, Rhino, Solidworks) a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field
