RMA Supervisor

SUMMARY

 

The RMA Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising assigned departments to include: Processing / Receiving / Inventory Control / Stocking / Returned Goods on their daily activities. Under the direction of the manager, the supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel in a manner consistent with company policies, procedures and standards.  Work shifts to be supervised are Mon-Fri with possible weekend work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively utilize warehouse management systems to maximize efficiency and productivity of work flow and allocate resources in various picking areas to ensure timely completion and flow of picking process

Discuss priorities with Manager and schedule accordingly

Coordinate closely with Manager; changes that can affect the flow of finished goods to prevent unfinished tasks.

Provide direction and assistance to employees by clarifying questions pertaining to job assignments and resolving issues

Monitor/review daily/weekly/monthly Productivity/Accuracy reports and all other KPI’s

Oversee, monitor employees’ attendance & time clock

Conduct regular touch-base meetings/coaching associates in various aspects of their job

Participate in training for new hires as well as monthly safety meetings

Interact with Temporary Service agency on acquiring/training of temporary associates

Collaborate with other department(s) to preparing monthly RTV shipment

Ensure that Dept. procedures are followed and Dept. paperwork and transactions which includes weekly RMA inventory summary are done correctly and in a timely manner

Conduct Performance reviews, counseling and disciplinary actions.

Partner with Human Resources to properly screen and select candidates for open positions

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Weekend/nights as required

Perform Job Observations per management’s discretion

May assist in reporting and investigating all work related injuries

Perform job duties according to set goals and metrics

In collaboration with Human Resources, develop and maintain a productive work environment by creating programs for hiring, training and professional development.

Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

3 – 5 years of supervisor experience required in a Distribution Center or warehouse environment.

Knowledge of warehouse safety OSHA standards

2+ years of related experience in material handling equipment

 

Education:

B.S. or B.A. degree preferred

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must be Computer literate (Microsoft Office products)

Skill to effectively organize and communicate as required for performance appraisals and coaching/counseling activities

Must be able to meet departmental expectations to effectively drive results

Ability to meet deadlines.

Great people and communication skills.

Ability to use computer software to generate reports as needed, performance appraisals and coaching/counseling activities

Ability to handle multiple projects, while working under pressure to meet deadlines

Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Operating in a collaborative environment

Well-developed organizational skills.

Certified forklift driver preferred

Certified forklift trainer preferred

Language Skills:

 

Ability to read, write simple correspondence, and communicate with internal customers and vendors in a clear, easily understood manner in English.
